WHO: Neighborhood & community leaders from across Sacramento remind the Maloofs & City & County negotiators that voters are receiving their absentee ballots this week and that their self-imposed October 6th deadline for an Arena MOU came and went last week including:

WHAT: Press conference to highlight that the Arena Tax supporters self-imposed October 6th deadline for an Arena MOU came and went last week and that voters are receiving their absentee ballots this week.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 11, 2006 @ 11:00 AM
WHERE: 3101 Martin Luther King Blvd. (SE corner of MLK and Broadway, in Oak Park)
WHY: The details of the Arena Tax negotiations with the Maloofs and the developers remains secret and Arena Tax supporters missed their self-imposed October 6th deadline for finalizing the negotiations and releasing a MOU to the public so that voters would know the details of the deal before absentee voters received their ballots. The first deal was crafted behind closed doors, and new proposals have not been made public either. Absentee voters start voting this week without the details of the final Arena agreement.
