Dumbarton Dialogue Cross-Jurisdictional Conversations Defines Criteria

Residents, business owners and other interested parties are invited to participate in a cross-jurisdictional discussion to define criteria that will help prioritize traffic mitigations and road improvements along the 101 Corridor. The Dumbarton Dialogue will continue with the community dialogue to define the top 10 criteria for projects on Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the City of East Palo Alto Municipal Building, 2415 University Avenue, East Palo Alto. The meetings will bring to together interested individuals from the six participating cities – East Palo Alto, Atherton, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Palo Alto and Redwood City. The public is encourage to attend and participate.

The Dumbarton Dialogue Project is a civic engagement program designed to augment the City / County Association of Government (C/CAG) 2020 Peninsula Gateway Corridor Study. The project seeks public input and participation for the study and possible traffic mitigation solutions along the Dumbarton / Highway 101 corridor.

Participants will help to identify the benefits of cross-community communications; learn more about the potential 2020 Peninsula Corridor Study traffic mitigation projects generated by community input; explore criteria for evaluation of potential projects, and initiate the development of common ground through cross-city dialogue.

Through the series of meetings the Dumbarton Dialogue project anticipated building mutual understanding, defining common interests and developing shared solutions among the participants for mitigating the traffic problems in the Dumbarton corridor.
