Laguna Honda needs help - our Elderly need protection and good care
Laguna Honda has been infested with patients who are drug addicts who prey upon the Elderly and those patients that cannot defend themselves. Mayor Gavin Newsom and Dr. Mitch Katz think nothing about this ploy and this NONSENSE must stop at once. John Kanaley wants to do something and he should take immediate action NOT to use use Laguna Honda as a Drug Rehabilitation Center. Laguna Honda should be used to house our Elderly and those that cannot take care of themselves. For sure the drug addicts with their mean attitude - should be kept away.
Doctor Katz and Mayor Gavin Newsom has ruined the once smooth operating Laguna Honda.
These two punks have introduced hardened drug addicts who should be sent to San Quentin - where they will put in their place if they try to BULLY the inmates there.
Our Elderly and those that are frail need help and Laguna Honda has been providing that for many years. Once called the Poor House it was built by contributions from the citizens of San Francisco.
We have to preserve this treasure and run it according to standards. Recently the State Department of Health fined Laguna Honda over $100,000.
An 82 year old Chinese woman Lan Khuu who was suffering from Demantia fell from the 3rd floor and died in recent months. this incident has been reported widely and has bothered many tax paying constituents who care.
This patient, Lan Khuu did have a history of trying to flee from Laguna Honda in the past. This time around she escaped because the staff failed to monitor her.
The Staff has been taken away from their real work and stressed by incidents initiated by Drug Addicts and other patients that should NOT be housed at Laguna Honda.
At the hearing at City Hall in Room 250 on April 16, 2007 many spoke. Many commented that many patients suffering from AIDS were intimated by Drug Addicts.
Judy Wong her sister spoke and so did Ann Khuu. Her niece Theresa Huynh and Jennifer Khuu her sister were present at the hearing.
It is time for all San Franciscans to put the Mayor and the punk Mitch Katz on notice.
Laguna Honda is no Drug Rehabilitation Center. Perhaps, Doctor Mitch should be sent to San Quentin to get a good sense of intimidation as part of his orientation to find out how patients feel when put in a similar situation.
