Oak Grove Tree Sit and Footbal game

The struggle to save Memorial oak Grove continues. The main court date is now in the judges hands as far as if the go ahead will be given to cut the trees. She could spend up to six months to decide but a decision could come sooner. An earlier court case to make it more illegal for the tree sitters resulted in only one person being banned and was no real set back.

Today was a big football game Cal against Oregon State University. As 30,000 fans streamed by the tree sit it was a perfect time for outreach. Many fans were curious, especially those from Oregon. Many people took pictures. Some Cal fans were hostile and argued or shouted things. One fan from the Oregon Beavers said, "Beavers eat trees," but most people were not hostile.

Come support the sit and the oaks. Have you ever sat in a tree? Well come on by and learn.
