Memorial Day. It's About WAR!
A little something I lashed together for Memorial Day 2010. This A/V montage is brought to you courtesy of Vietnam Vets Against War (historic footage), OuterNational (Tom Morello, Rage Against The Machine) and The Asian Dub Foundation (credit music, Rivers of Dub, Adbusters: Live Without Dead Time CD)

Thanks Auntie, the first two minutes of that video brought a big grin to my face. It's hard to imagine something like that protest in front of the White House these days, though its just as (if not more) important as our foreign policy spirals ever more wildly out of control.
On a wholly unrelated note to this post, I really appreciate the perspective you've been bringing to the "violence" of the May Day "riot", and the persistent reminder that this is a town where a purse-snatching still makes front page news. It really, genuinely makes me wonder if any of our police force or citizens have ever actually seen what a riot looks like. Just thought you deserve some props for that. Cheers.

...that they'd treat Iraq Expeditionary, or ISAF soldiers much different than they treated the "Bonus Army" in the interregnum of WWI and WW Twice.
That's another 'good' reason to drug American soldiers with behavior mod meds and keep them on them. It prevents so much unsightly, headline grabbing 'nastiness' when they return.
