SF CommuneJoshua Holland (senior writer and editor at Alternet.org) reports, via Twitter, that the San Francisco Commune at 888 Turk St (@Gough) is still occupied by as many as two dozen occupiers. The SFPD is still keeping watch, but only a dozen cops are on the scene. Barricades have been set up inside to prevent police from entering rooms inside the building.

Interior BarricadesOccupiers of the once vacant property, owned by the Archdiocese of San Francisco, are determined to hold the building through the night and into the morning. Please come by and join us!

According to the SF Appeal, two people were arrested, Jesse Nesbitt, 34 (still in custody on aggravated assault, aggravated assault of a police officer and felony vandalism charges) and Adam Delia, 24 (cited and released on suspicion of being a pedestrian in the roadway and disobeying a traffic officer).

As of 10PM, the SFPD have withdrawn from the vicinity of the commune.

We are asking people to come down to the SF Commune tonight to bear witness if the SFPD decides to raid the building. Please bring your smartphones, camcorders and cameras, as well as food and cigarettes to share.

If you have any new information to report, please email freemansullivan@gmail.com or tweet @freemansullivan on Twitter.SFPD across the street

(From an email by a neighbor)

Occupiers Wait"I'm in the building across the street. Glad you guys have matured enough to make a much more feasible (possible) stand...Behave yourselves, be serious, [and] show unity and resolve, [et al].

Please. I ask you this, because your cause in using this space for productive reasons is righteous and true. Please show maturity, resolve and persist...Be good neighbors always ...You can win.If that is what you [truly] want, I stand with you with dignity toward putting this place in [a] positive space."

Thanks to Joshua Holland for photos and report!
