Approximately 100 people collectively shut down the Bay Area Rapid Transit's Montgomery and Embarcadero stations in San Francisco on Friday January 16th. Because of the protest BART first shut down the Montgomery station then the protest forced them to close the Embarcadero station. Protesters banged spoons on the trains, the walls, the machines and anything else they could bang a spoon on. It did appear that BART may have been confining people in the trains. No one could get off and most trains flew right through the station.

Free BART fares for all, not just low income people and demand BART open all bathrooms as train stations should always have bathrooms will provide more support for this cause as everyone can support these demands, and in so doing, they will also support dropping the charges and the outrageous $70,000 fine. You should also demand that the union(s) for all BART workers support these demands as this is all a labor issue. The BART Board, Democrats & Republicans together, demonstrated total contempt for labor when they murdered 2 workers in the last BART strike, as well as contempt for the passengers who are overwhelmingly workingclass and lower middle class. The millionaires do not ride public transportation. California has 750,000 millionaire households who should pay more taxes to pay for BART and all other public transportation and social services, and in addition, the entire prison-punishment and death penalty system should be shut down, saving taxpayers lots of money and transforming this society into a pro-labor community. You should also call for abolishing the military and transferring those billions of dollars to public transportation, education, healthcare, housing and all social services. The original demands include abolishing the BART police, which should continue to be a demand. It is outrageous that we are paying for armed thugs at less than arm's length from the passengers on the trains and platforms, armed to the teeth with guns and tasers. For the demands, see
