UC Santa Cruz and UC Hastings Social Justice Lecture Series presents Professor Hadar Aviram.

Aviram will speak on the American prison system and the transformation of punishment. Her book, "Cheap on Crime: Recession-Era Politics and the Transformation of Punishment" (UC Press, 2015) examines the impact of the financial crisis on the American penal landscape.

Please follow the road signs that say, "Hadar Aviram Talk" to the Core West Parking Garage. There will be parking attendants onsite issuing complimentary permits. A shuttle service will be available to take you to the College 9/10 Multipurpose Room starting at 6:30pm. Shuttle service will also be available after the lecture.
