On Sunday, June 26th, the Traditionalist Worker Party along with the Golden State Skinheads and other Neo-Nazi and fascist groups will hold a rally on the West steps of the California capitol in Sacramento. The rally is shaping up to be one of the largest mobilizations of white supremacist groups in many years. They are billing this demonstration as an "Anti-Antifa" rally, or a rally against Anti-Fascism. For more info on the mobilization, go here. In short, on Sunday, June 26th at 9 AM, people will converge in Sacramento to collectively blockade and shut down white supremacy. Many groups and individuals are taking part in the mobilization, but if you are not able to actually attend the counter-demonstration, there are several ways that you can get involved in shutting down the Nazis! 1.) Donate to the Bail Fund: Help raise money for those that may be arrested. Any donation, big or small is appreciated. Donate here. 2.) Come out to our Fundraiser: We are having a fundraising event in San Francisco on Wednesday, June 22nd, at 7:30 PM. More information here. Facebook event here. filmnight 3.) On Sunday, June 26th, the Traditionalist Workers’ Party, the Golden State Skinheads, the KKK, and various white supremacist gangs and Neo-Nazi groups across California and the US are holding a mega-rally on the steps of the State Capitol in Sacramento. They are rallying to specifically target those who oppose them, Anti-Fascists, and anyone who would stand up against racism and fascism.

From Matthew Heimbach of the Traditionalist workers party, “The Antifa are not happy about this, but there is no way they will be able to put a stop it. If the TWP can march in Sacramento, then they can hold a rally anywhere, since it is one of the most Liberal parts of the United States.” (radioaryan.com/2016/04/the-daily-traditionalist-good-leadership.html)

In response, Anti-Fascist-Action Sacramento (Antifa) issued a call-out for all Anti-Fascists and anyone in opposition to what the list of white supremacist groups above stands for to come to Sacramento and shut down this mega-rally. A coalition of groups from across northern California have joined Antifa Sacramento in this effort, and are encouraging people from all over the West Coast and beyond to come to Sacramento on the morning of June 26th to stand up to these fascists and shut them down. To see a longer more comprehensive version of the Anti-Fascist call-out, follow this link: http://www.itsgoingdown.org/national-mobilization-blockade-shut-white-supremacy-sacramento

White supremacist groups have held rallies on the steps of the Capitol in Sacramento in the past. There have been rallies back in 2006, 2012, and 2013 where there have been arrests and injuries. In 2012 there were 4 arrests, and 2 of the 4 ended up being drawn out court cases. In 2013 there was 1 arrest and a local Sacramento activist was trampled by a police horse (thanks to an overzealous police officer protecting the white supremacists).

In just this last year we have seen white supremacist groups in towns in the U.S, like Olympia, WA, Atlanta, GA, and Anaheim, CA, march, rally, or take to the streets. Each time there is the brave Anti-Fascist individuals who have decided to stand up to them, which is inspiring of course, but has also unfortunately resulted in arrests and injuries in certain instances.

Please take some time to learn about what happened in Olympia, Atlanta, and Anaheim and the type of support and solidarity that was shown in each one of those places when Anti-Fascist individuals had injuries or criminal cases to deal with in the aftermath of the respective event. In Anaheim, over 30,000 dollars was raised to help support those arrested for defending themselves against white supremacists and one individual who was stabbed twice by a member of the KKK.

On June 26th in Sacramento, it is very important to know that if anyone standing up against fascism and racism is arrested or seriously injured that they will not be forgotten and we will have their back.

We do not know what will happen and we do not know what won’t happen, but we live in this town and we have a responsibility to support individuals who may end up in the hospital with large medical costs or end up arrested and in jail with a high bail, and a court case for standing up to white supremacists and fascists.

We are beginning to ask for donations now to have a base fund established in case funds are needed quickly on June 26th as the events of the day are unfolding. And if we do not need to use the money that is raised in the lead up to and on June 26th, then we will refund everyone in full who donated to this campaign. But for now, we are hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.
