Yosemite Another Crater Lake? Yosemite Workers Claim Mismanagement at Yosemite.

by Anon Yosemite
With word spreading of Aramark’s gross mismanagement at Crater Lake, Yosemite workers have been increasingly speaking out about similar conditions they have faced since Aramark took over in Yosemite.

In recent articles about Aramark’s gross mismanagement at Crater Lake. Aramark tries to claim that, “The challenges at Crater Lake National Park are not indicative of our overall business operations,”. However it doesn't take much to do a few searches, or ask around, and it becomes clear that what has happened at Crater Lake is reflective of Aramark’s horrible overall business operations.

Many Yosemite workers have been watching what has been happening at Crater Lake, with the truth gradually coming out about how horrible Aramark has been since they took over management of the concessions in 2016. Similar stories are pouring out of Yosemite and being posted online, mostly in threads on Facebook and reddit.

It is also clear that these issues are not just happening at Crater Lake and Yosemite, but also extend to other facilities that Aramark manages, like Asilomar and Lake Powell. It seems that almost everywhere you look, more stories are popping up every day about Aramark’s gross mismanagement of facilities it has been entrusted to manage.

Clearly more has to be done to ensure that Aramark doesn't continue to mismanage the facilities it is entrusted to maintain. At the least, NPS at Yosemite should release the Annual Overall Ratings for Aramark at Yosemite, like they have at Crater Lake. Other Aramark run facilities should also be audited for similar issues, like poorly run food facilities that barely pass Health Inspections. It shouldn't take another major noro virus outbreak, or something similar for NPS to take action.

This is the only Annual Overall Review of Aramark at Yosemite that is online and already made public by a Freedom of Information Act request.

They received an overall Marginal score, and an Unsatisfactory rating on the Administrative Compliance report.

Thanks to The Fresno Bee for making this available to the public. Now if only we could see the rest of Annual Overall Reviews of Aramark at Yosemite.
