Congress confuses Ukraine with Sudetenland!

If it was just a mistaken geographical lesson, Congress could be forgiven for simple oversight. But the sad truth is that they have bought line, rod and sinker of the deliberate Big Fish Lie --put forth by the NeoCon and NeoLib warhawks--that Russia's war with Ukraine is a repeat of Nazi Germany's opening salvo of an attempt to conquer all of Europe!

In one sense, this is a tribute to the triumph of the US "corporate-bin-laden" media's total subservience to--and shameless complicity with--the Imperial narrative that has been the dominant fairy tale since the end of World War II. It's a fantasized version of history that obliterates from public memory, all the bombings, invasions and regime changes perpetrated by the "greatest purveyor of violence" (Martin Luther King's words) that is the US government since 1945. The very same government that--as President Eisenhower had warned back in 1961--was then in danger of being overrun by a Military Industrial Complex, which had grown only more omnipotent in the 6 decades that ensued.

Because of this blind obsession with a Forever War mentality, the US is not only isolated internationally, but is destined to an unsustainable--actually accelerating--national debt of 34+ TRILLION dollars!

How will this sick addiction--many times worse than the current fentanyl "pandemic""--impoverish the next "seven generations" is the existential legacy our Imperial Congress consigns to our children?
