A New York theater company is coming under criticism for backing out of an agreement to stage a play based on the life of U.S. peace activist Rachel Corrie. The play’s producers are calling the decision censorship. Corrie was killed in Gaza nearly three years ago when she stood in front of an Israeli bulldozer set to demolish a Palestinian home. San Jose Mardi Gras riot police video link
On the night of Fat Tuesday, police gave out about 240 citations and made 30 arrests for vandalism to cars and businesses, and drunk in public. http://cbs5.com/topstories/local_story_061212445.html
KPIX TV station (CBS 5) has a link to a fairly unedited video of a line of riot police chasing a group of women down the street, and one woman in particular looks like she is unfairly hit with a baton, with a clear camera shot....
