(between Broadway and Telegraph)
call for a ride - Wendy 510-295-7834
Panel Discussion with Omali Yeshitela, Chairman of the African People's Socialist Party and founder of the Uhuru Movement, Quetzaoceloacuia of the Barrio Defense Committee, Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines, Matthew Shenoda of the Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, Penny Hess, African People's Solidarity Committe.
The brutal occupation of Iraq that we see today is the result of a process started in 1492. The arrival of Columbus in so-called North America marked the beginning of the white world’s assault on humanity
with the genocide committed against the indigenous peoples of this land and the enslavement of African people.
For to seriously challenge the Bush regime’s attempt to reimpose colonial rule on the world, we must unite with the aspirations of oppressed peoples for national liberation and reparations for the crimes committed
against them. We make the link between a society born of slavery and genocide and the current war and violence of the United States. Peace can only come about through a struggle for social justice and the
pursuit of truth and reparations.
